Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Asher Capital Investment Fund (“Asher,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, protects and shares personal information when you access Asher Vault (the “Platform”), our private investment data room. We respect your privacy and limit data collection to what is necessary to operate a secure, members-only data room.
1. Information we collect
- Identity: your name and email address, and your electronic signature when you sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
- Technical: IP address, device and browser type, and session timestamps.
- Activity: which documents you view, how long you view them, and your navigation within a deal. This is used to operate the data room, secure the documents, and help the deal team respond to your interest.
- Agreements: a record of NDAs and consents you accept (email, date, IP) as legally required evidence.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
2. How we use it
- To authenticate you and provide access to the deals you are authorized to see.
- To protect confidential documents (watermarking each page with your identity).
- To keep an audit trail for security and legal compliance.
- To help the Asher team understand investor interest and respond appropriately.
3. Document watermarking & activity tracking — disclosed clearly
Every document you open is watermarked in real time with your email, the date, and your IP address, and your activity is logged. We do this for two reasons: to protect confidential materials from leaks, and to operate the data room. By accessing the Platform you acknowledge and consent to this tracking.
4. Who processes your data (sub-processors)

Each sub-processor is bound by a Data Processing Agreement and may only process your data on our instructions.
5. How we protect your data
- Encryption in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256).
- Access controls: you only see deals you are explicitly authorized for.
- Document-level protection: dynamic watermarking and view-only access.
- Audit logging of access and actions.
- Instant access revocation.
6. Your rights
Depending on your state of residence (including under the New Jersey Data Privacy Act, the California Consumer Privacy Act/CPRA, and similar state laws), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we hold about you.
- Request a copy of it.
- Request its correction or deletion.
- Opt out of any “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do neither).
To exercise any right, email privacy@asher.fund. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
7. Data retention
We keep your data only as long as needed to operate the Platform and meet legal obligations. NDA and consent records are retained for up to seven (7) years as legal evidence. Activity logs are retained for the duration of the relevant deal plus a reasonable period thereafter. You may request deletion as described above, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Children
The Platform is for accredited investors and professional counterparties only. It is not directed to anyone under 18.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated through the Platform. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance.
